CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE
Choosing the right size ensures the best possible protection. When the jacket fits right, it protects the most important muscle groups and stays perfectly on even while sprinting. Pomppa jackets are well suited for both slender and heavily built dogs. When choosing the right size, it’s important that the jacket doesn’t restrict the dog’s natural movement or disturb them in any other way. The right size is determined by the back length of the dog. We recommend that you avoid choosing a smaller size than your dog’s back length indicates, especially when choosing JumppaPomppa. However, depending on the dog’s proportions and fur type, the right size may be larger than the size according to the back length. It’s also important to consider the intended use of the product. A jacket meant for active lifestyle should fit snugly, whereas a jacket for calm exercise and downtime during training can be slightly larger.
- BACK – The back length is measured from the neck to the base of the tail. Start measuring from the meeting point of the neck and back.
- NECK – The neck circumference is measured from the same point as the back length. This measure is only relevant when choosing JumppaPomppa.
- CHEST –  The chest circumference is measured from the widest point of the chest.
- WAIST – The waist circumference is measured from the narrowest part of the dog’s abdomen.
